In honor of Holocaust Memorial Day, Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills, along with The Milton Public Library, invites all to a free screening of the 1987 film “Lena-My 100 Children” on Thursday evening, April 27, at 6:45 p.m. (doors open at 6:30).
The film will be screened at the library, located at 76 Canton Avenue at the corner of Reedsdale Road in Milton.
The film, starring Linda Lavin, is being shown in honor of Yom Hashoah/Holocaust Memorial Day, which is April 23rd.
“At the end of WWII, Lena Kuchler arrives at a refugee camp in search of her disappeared family members. But at this place she can get no information in her case, but only encounters hungry children” (IMDB).
Fran Schaff, a member of the Beth Shalom-Blue Hills congregation and one of the “100 children”, will share a few words after the film. Cong.
