Thank you for joining us in building a new spiritual home for Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills, continuing the traditions of Temple Shalom of Milton and Temple Beth El of Quincy and maintaining a Jewish presence in the greater Milton area.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the Jewish community south of Boston, but success in this endeavor will only be possible through generous financial support from people like you.  In the short time we have been fundraising, we have secured 100% participation from our board members, and commitments that exceed $911,000*, thanks to you!

Together with the proceeds from the sales of our former buildings, we have cash and pledges of roughly 87% of the total funds needed, but the remaining $489,000* required to make this a reality has to come from YOU! – our community.

Our strength is in our people. This has been proven time and again over the past five years as we have searched for a suitable location for our new home.  Having a physical location that is vibrant and alive with the spirit of our community is also important to the movement of Jewish renewal we are enjoying in our area. This is evidenced by the 20+ families who have joined our congregation during the past year! This is an exciting time in the life of our congregation and we need you to join us with your passion and personal commitment to help us turn our dreams into reality.

The Capital Campaign pledge form outlines several ways to structure your gift and bring maximum benefit to the Congregation while managing your financial obligations. Donors have taken advantage of flexible giving options such as making a multi-year pledge, staging amounts over time, paying up front as a lump-sum gift, and donating vehicles through our CARS vehicle donation program. Planned giving options are also available.  I am happy to talk through any of these approaches, or others, to help you make a meaningful gift to our future home. All gifts to the campaign are tax deductible.

On behalf of the entire congregation I thank you for your generosity and support,

Todah Rabah (Thank you very much)
