This is my Mother, Susan Skeer’s recipe and it is always such a huge hit!

Ingredients
  1. 1½ cup canola oil
  2. 2 cups sugar
  3. 3 eggs
  4. 3 cups flour
  5. 1 tsp salt
  6. 1 tsp cinnamon
  7. 1 tsp baking soda
  8. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  9. 3 cups peeled apples, thickly sliced
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat the oil and sugar together.
  3. Add the eggs and beat until creamy.
  4. In a large bowl, sift the flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda.
  5. Stir in the wet mixture.
  6. Add remaining ingredients and stir to blend.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased and floured tube or Bundt pan.
  8. Bake for 1¼ hours.
  9. Cool for an hour.
  10. Flip pan onto a platter and sift powdered sugar on top.
Notes
  1. The cake freezes beautifully.
