High Holiday Schedule of Services & Programs (including Sukkot-Simchat Torah)

Logistics and Forms to Return
Below please find the forms you'll need to return to the synagogue (online or on paper).
The deadline for all forms is Friday, August 22nd, to allow us time to process your request before the holidays.
Tickets/Seating Requests
For fastest service, please submit your ticket request form online. Alternatively, you may return the printed form sent to members or download a copy here.
Challah & Womens Network Reply forms
Included in your online ticket form are opportunities to be support the CBSBH Womens Network by listing your name on the WN High Holiday card, sent to all members; and to order round challot for the holidays.

Yizkor/Memorial Book Listings - please see the section below
Yizkor/Memorial Book 2025 / 5786
Each year, the congregation produces a Memorial Book for use during Yizkor services on Yom Kippur and throughout the year.

(listings are on pages 18-44 but printed backward alphabetically.)

Customary donations are $10 per name listing or $118 for more than 10.
Deadline: Friday. August 22nd. If paying by check, separate checks are not necessary;
you can combine all of your High Holiday payments in one check.
Sukkot, Shmini Atzeret, Simchat Torah: Oct 6-13

Ordering a Lulav & Etrog
To order a set of Lulav & Etrog, please contact the office no later than Monday, Sept 29th.
Sets cost $55 and will be ready for pickup during services on the first day of Sukkot. Please see an usher at services.
Building & Decorating our Sukkah
We need assistance putting up and decorating our communal sukkah, for all to enjoy, on Sunday morning, October 5th after minyan (about 9:45am). Please email Steve Jacobs or call him at 617-838-4547 for details.
Dine in the Sukkah: Weds, Thurs, Sat, Sun, Oct 8-9, 11-12
The sukkah is available for those wishing to fulfill the mitzvah of leishev basukhah, dwelling in the sukkah, to eat in the sukkah (BYOFood & Drink). Reserve a spot emailing the office.

Shmini Atzeret
Celebrate the conclusion of the Holiday season with Shmini Atzeret, Tuesday, October 14th at 9:30am in person or online. Yizkor is recited.
Erev Simchat Torah
Celebrate together with CBSBH's Simchat Torah Bash, for all agest!
Tuesday evening, October 14th, join us at 6:15pm for a scrumptious Simchat Torah community dinner followed by singing, dancing, and parading with the torah scrolls. [RSVP link coming soon]
